Post & Schell provides litigation, corporate, transactional, regulatory, compliance, consulting and educational services locally, regionally and nationally to a broad spectrum of proprietary and not-for-profit industries. Post & Schell concentrates on providing these niche services in sophisticated, complex matters. We currently have approximately 155 lawyers in 7 offices: Allentown, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Princeton, NJ and Washington, D.C.
We focus on a number of industries including: healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, transportation, communications, construction, energy, retail, security, social services, professional services, municipal services, insurance, banking and financial services and hospitality.
Our industry focus insures that we know our clients' business. We provide a depth and breadth of seasoned lawyers with a wealth of experience in the industries they serve. We blend that specific experience with a team approach and a commitment to technology that produces thoughtful resolutions and favorable litigation and transactional results in an efficient manner. Our lawyers possess tremendous experience in courtrooms, board rooms, and administrative/regulatory hearing rooms.
At Post & Schell, P.C. we have aligned our business model to mirror our core values:
- Integrity
- Quality
- Innovation
- Collaboration
- Accountability
- Empowerment
We manage our law firm like a business. We fiercely manage overhead. The vast majority of our attorneys work in single size offices. The resultant savings benefit our clients. We are among the few firms who have different starting salaries for lawyers in different practice groups. This allows us to appropriately price our legal services, maximize value to our clients and fairly compensate our attorneys. This groundbreaking compensation system was the subject of an article in The National Law Journal on May 25, 2009.
We manage our business relationships. We do not reflexively staff up cases, but instead manage our matters closely. We routinely audit our own files. The correct professional handles the appropriate task. Budgets are living documents, not just estimates. We align our file handling plan with your business goal in mind. We do not view matters as "single entities" but part of a long term business relationship. We listen to our clients' needs.
Our management is streamlined. We have embraced a corporate management structure with a Chief Executive Officer, Brian M. Peters, who is empowered to move quickly on behalf of the firm. Mr. Peters can deal with clients and our lawyers to insure that that we are responsive to the rapidly changing needs of our business partner base. We are a firm that speaks with a single voice.
We use technology to benefit our clients. Our commitment to technology includes: video streaming, Internet webinars and video conferencing. This provides our clients with state-of-the- art data, information and access to both our lawyers and experts in their field. We are able to create paperless files for our clients, streamlining the flow of information.
We invest in compliance. Post & Schell was one of the first firms to have a full-time Chief Compliance Officer. Our CCO, Andrew W. Allison, a twenty year lawyer, is responsible for a wide variety of functions. They include:
- Our clients’ professional services expectations;
- Our Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement Programs;
- Our legal services and billing practices peer review and auditing program;
- Our continuing legal and ethical education program; and,
- State and federal statutes, regulations and judicial authority that govern the day-to- day corporate conduct of our firm.
We dedicate our resources and time to client service. Michael Baltes is our Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. Among other responsibilities, Michael routinely meets with our clients to determine their immediate business concerns and to find ways to better serve them. Our goal is to constantly ensure that our firm provides value on each matter. We want to know the issues important to you.
