At Post & Schell, we've invested in technology to benefit clients in three ways: to give clients access to key documents, to provide clients with reliable security for their matters, and to make our lawyers accessible.

Our Chief Technology and Development Officers have collaborated with lawyers and clients, leading our information team to develop innovative ways to enhance client service. We offer services such as a wide-area computer network that interconnects every office in the firm, management applications customized for our clients, and a sophisticated telecommunications system to make conferencing easy.

Conference Center. The Conference Center is designed to centralize and optimize our space for accommodating a wide variety of meetings, seminars, depositions, Continuing Legal Education programs, and a host of other functions. The conference rooms have an array of technological capabilities, including videoconferencing and audioconferencing, along with everything needed for successful presentations and information sharing. All conference rooms are equipped with high speed Internet access as well as wireless Internet capabilities.

The Center can accommodate both large and small meetings within its various rooms. In addition, the Conference Center's Business Center provides scanning, copying, faxing and other capabilities for our guests, allowing them to maximize their time away from their own offices. The Conference Center staff will be able to assist in meeting the business needs of our clients.

As with the rest of the firm's office design, the focus is on client service. With the innovative floor plan, business comfort emphasis, and access to technology, the Post and Schell Conference Center provides a strong base of operations to the firm and its business partners. Furthermore, Post & Schell takes steps to provide better service and expedite workflow in three additional areas:

Extranet. Clients can use our extranet system to enjoy a secure environment to access data regarding their matters. Clients have the ability to view trial calendars, expert reports, case summaries, and matter documents. The extranet also permits private transfer of files and the ability to work collaboratively with our attorneys on documents. We maximize the sharing of information while minimizing duplication of effort.

Security. Recognizing the need to meet and exceed government privacy standards, we offer state-of-the-art security features to protect our clients’ matters. For example, to access any desktop computer in the firm, a person must use an ID badge and PIN. Additionally, when anyone steps away from his or her computer, the RSA security badge is removed, locking the system to prevent access by anyone else. Similarly, secure areas such as our information services, file room and accounting areas are continuously monitored by security systems that allow access only to authorized personnel. Like most buildings in center city, we require security clearance before anyone can get to our offices. Once in our space, visitors are restricted to public areas and cannot proceed further without an ID badge and visual clearance from firm personnel. All of these measures keep our clients’ data secure while offering our staff a safe environment in which to work. We also utilize computer virus protection software and have taken extensive steps to protect our technical systems from fire and other physical damage.

Accessibility. Post & Schell lawyers have the ability to access their client matters from any remote location using our Citrix system to obtain access to documents, e-mail, and calendars. We assign Blackberry mobile PDAs to lawyers who need to have instant access to their e-mail when they are out of the office. Additionally, each of our lawyers has a personal fax number, which provides access to faxes from any location, in the office or elsewhere.
