Joseph addresses Federal Bar Association Regarding the Clean Water Act
Partner John Joseph addressed the Federal Bar Association as part of a panel discussion entitled "Negotiating Settlements Under The Clean Water Act," on February 12, 2009. The presentation was designed to analyze specific issues under the Clean Water Act and was for experienced environmental practioners. Specific topics included the current EPA policy regarding potential credit for environmental improvement projects as part of local community service and the implications of negligence based criminal statutes.
Joseph is a partner in the Philadelphia office and is part of the Environmental Group. Prior to coming to Post & Schell, Joseph served as a criminal prosecutor and Deputy Chief of the Civil Division at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, where, during his tenure as head of affirmative litigation, he handled and supervised all environmental cases in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
